80th Anniversary of D-Day

Never forget

June 6 marks the anniversary of Allied troops storming the beaches of Normandy in France in the fight against Nazi Germany.
On June 6, 1944, British, American, and Canadian troops stormed the beaches of Normandy in France, which helped start the liberation of Europe from the Germans.
By the time of the Normandy invasion, Canada had been at war for almost five years.
