The Bell 212 went down around 1830 last evening in the area of Highway 16 and Highway 22 while supporting firefighting efforts about 100km west of Edmonton.
Our condolences go out to the Pilots family, friends, co-workers, fellow first responders and the community of Evansburg, lobstick & Wildwood, that the Pilot was helping protect from this wildfire.

Our hearts go out to the loved ones of everyone involved. Alberta Wildfire is working with the RCMP and the TSB to investigate the cause.
